UCLA First Thursdays has two parts: daytime activations at the Westwood Village Farmers’ Market; and evening block parties with different thematic experiences.
We invite you to discover something new in Westwood Village!
Sustainable Station
Westwood Village Farmers’ Market
12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Discover how sustainable food systems maintain the health and well-being of individuals, communities and the planet. You’ll learn from UCLA experts how to consider the entire life cycle of the food you eat: how it is grown, packaged, handled and prepared, including the way its nutrients are returned to the soil. Not to mention there will be succulent and tote bag giveaways, and a compost collection bin so bring us your compost and learn the fundamentals on how to get your own compost started.
Neon Nights
Evening Block Party
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Glow blue. Glow gold. Glow Bruins! Join us as we transform Broxton Ave into UCLA First Thursdays: Neon Nights. Experience light-themed art created by students. Dance under fluorescent stars to a live DJ on a glimmering dance floor. We will be giving away glow sticks and neon glasses. Come dressed for the occasion and ready for your photo ops. Let’s glow!
