Project would bring 92 units to Westwood
By Dolores Quintana
A formerly occupied building at 2107-2121 S. Westwood Boulevard will be razed to build another mixed-use building in Westwood as reported by Urbanize Los Angeles.
This new building from RBM of California is an infill project that is taking advantage of the density bonus incentives. The developers will have to reserve eight of the units in the five-story structure to adhere to the agreement that permits such a large building in defiance of the local zoning ordinances. The building will have 92 studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and 1,500 square feet of commercial space on the first floor with a 125-space underground parking lot with two levels.
The project is being designed by DE Architects and according to Urbanize Los Angeles, the renderings for the building feature “upper-level step backs facing both Westwood Boulevard and the single-family homes to the east.”
The estimate for completion of this project is 28 months based on the environmental report approved by the City Council.
