Dave Meyers, a starting forward on UCLA’s 1975 NCAA championship team, and the late Alex Hannum, the most valuable player on USC’s 1947-48 team, were among the 12-member 2015 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Hall of Honor announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8 Meyers averaged 11.8 points per game in three seasons with the Bruins, including 18.3 as a senior during the 1974-75 season, John Wooden’s last as their coach.

Meyers was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers with second overall choice in the 1975 NBA draft, but never played for the team as he was part of the six- player trade with the Milwaukee Bucks that brought Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the Lakers. Meyers played four seasons in the NBA, all with the Bucks. He retired in 1980 at the age of 26.

Hannum was a Pacific Coast Conference All-Southern Division selection in the 1947-48 season. He went on to play seven teams in eight seasons in the National Basketball League and NBA.

Hannum coached five NBA teams and two in the American Basketball Association over 16 seasons. He was the only coach to coach a team other than the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship between 1957 and 1969, guiding the St. Louis Hawks to the 1958 title and the Philadelphia 76ers to the 1967 championship.

Hannum also coached the Oakland Oaks to the 1969 ABA title. Hannum was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998. He died in 2002 at age 78.

Each of the conference’s 12 schools were represented in the Hall of Honor. The other members were Jon Brockman (Washington); Jim Davis (Colorado); Casey Jacobsen (Stanford); Jim Jarvis (Oregon State); Sean Lampley (California); Ron Riley (Arizona State); Bennie Seltzer (Washington State); the late Arizona coach Fred Snowden; Anthony Taylor (Oregon); and Danny Vranes (Utah).
