French Bulldog Puppy Stolen From Pico-Robertson Family

LAPD seeks two suspects wanted for December 28 incident

A couple is offering a reward for the return of their French bulldog who was stolen at gunpoint in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood recently.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the incident took place on December 28 around 9:15 p.m. The couple – Julio Escobar and Kamila Agudelo – were standing on the sidewalk when Agudelo felt a tug on the leash and turned around to find a man attempting to take her dog Rajah, a grey French bulldog puppy.

While Agudelo was struggling with the thief, another man approached her and pushed her to the ground and she lost the grip on the leash.

“I was already holding Rajah, and I said, ‘Please no,’ and I tried to grab onto him and he pushed me and I lost control of the leash,” Agudelo told KTLA.

Her husband Escobar started chasing after the two men who then pulled a gun on Escobar before driving away in a truck.

The LAPD describes the suspects are two Black men between the ages of 30 and 40.

Agudelo and Escobar have been canvassing the neighborhood, asking neighbors to be on the lookout while also visiting local shelters.

“Sadly, it’s a business,” Agudelo told KTLA. “Our baby is not neutered yet, so I just think he’s probably going to be used or they’re going to try to sell him.”

Anyone with information can call Detective Lomis at 310-444-1528. During non-business hours, call 877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).
