Double Feature Coincides With Rare Celestial Triple Event
Cinespia invites fans of horror comedy classics will gather under the glow of a rare celestial event Saturday, Aug. 9, when Hollywood Forever Cemetery hosts an all-night “Full Moon Slumber Party” featuring The Lost Boys and An American Werewolf in London. The evening coincides with a full moon, blue moon, and supermoon, setting the stage for an atmospheric mix of movies, music, and monster-themed fun.
Gates open at 6:45 p.m. for a picnic-style gathering before the screenings, with the first film starting at 8:30 p.m. Guests can expect giveaways, surprises, and themed photo ops, as well as music from DJs before and between the movies. The night kicks off with The Lost Boys, the 1987 vampire favorite known for its rock-and-roll attitude, coastal California backdrop, and iconic performances by Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric. Following is An American Werewolf in London, the 1981 horror-comedy celebrated for its groundbreaking transformation effects, eerie moor scenes, and dark humor.
In keeping with the slumber party theme, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and settle in for both films. The event will also include a free photo booth and monster-themed surprises throughout the night, embracing the blend of spooky nostalgia and summer fun.
