Major Street Closures and Traffic Restrictions in Place This Weekend
The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards are set to take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton, and the City of Beverly Hills has announced a series of road closures and traffic restrictions to accommodate the event. Residents and commuters are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes to navigate the area.
Major Road Closures
- North Santa Monica Boulevard:
- Westbound lanes: Closed from Wilshire Boulevard to Century Park East starting Friday, January 3, at 9 p.m. and reopening Monday, January 6, at 5 a.m.
- Eastbound lanes: Closed from Century Park East to Wilshire Boulevard starting Saturday, January 4, at 2 p.m. and reopening Monday, January 6, at 5 a.m.
- Wilshire Boulevard:
- Lane reductions begin Saturday, January 4, at 9 p.m.
- Full closure between Comstock Avenue and South Santa Monica Boulevard from Sunday, January 5, at 5 a.m. to Monday, January 6, at 5 a.m.
- Limited closure for eastbound lanes near Beverly Glen Boulevard for local access only to residents in the 10200-10300 blocks, effective Saturday, January 4, at 9 p.m. through Monday, January 6, at 5 a.m.
- Residential Streets:
- Select closures on Whittier Drive, Trenton Drive, Greenway Drive, Carmelita Avenue, Elevado Avenue, and Lomitas Avenue will be in place from Sunday, January 5, at 5 a.m. to Monday, January 6, at 5 a.m.
Detours are recommended via South Santa Monica, Olympic, Pico, and Sunset Boulevards.
Streets surrounding the Beverly Hilton will be posted with no parking signs.
