Hate luggage confusion at baggage carousels? UGOBAGS helps out in trendiest way possible

Tired of owning the same boring luggage with bland colors and designs that often get mixed up with other suitcases on the baggage carousel at airports?

Look no further than Los Angeles-based UGOBAGS, a company offering customized luggage for people that wish to design the look of their luggage.

UGOBAGS manager Arnaud Breillot said its website ugobags.com has been operating since June 2014, and it’s up to customers to decide how they want their luggage look.

“It’s an extension of yourself,” Breillot said. “The customer is really the designer.”

Once on the website, the first step is selecting the size – small, medium, or large.

For anyone who doesn’t need to check luggage when flying, the small size is perfect as it can be carried on planes as it’s designed to fit in the overhead compartments; the two larger sizes have to be checked when flying.

There are three different colors of shell – black, white, and grey.

For the components of the luggage (wheels, retractable handle, handles, and stands etc.) there are currently eight colors to choose from – yellow, blue, red, pink, green, orange, yellow, and black. In a few weeks there will be white and light grey options as well.

The luggage shell is made of 100 percent polycarbonate, which is light and durable.

Breillot said the best part of designing the luggage was the front panel design.

“We have a bunch of designs in our library on our website,” he said. “The customer can also submit their own picture – a landscape, of themselves, of their children – the options are limitless. After a customer submits a picture, our graphic design team works on a couple of prototype designs for them before we begin the production process. The customer can ask for changes as the set-up is free – there is no additional cost for any changes. We will continue to make changes until the customer is satisfied.”

Among UGOBAGS’ highlights: the wheels are all 360 degree double spinners that are strong and durable (they are 100 percent maneuverable and have a zero weight feel when toting the luggage), the retractable handle is a lightweight telescopic handle system with multi-stage locking heights, and the luggage interior is comprised of a high quality material that is fully lined.

Each piece of luggage has a Travel Sentry Approved (TSA) lock that allows TSA screeners to safety unlock and relock UGOBAGS luggage after inspection while giving the contents some locked protection.

Breillot said UGOBAGS are a great idea for presents and gifts; another option is a gift voucher for that someone special so they can design their own luggage.

“People can also send in a collection of photos to our design team and we can put together a collage on the front panel,” he said. “This is great for a birthdays, anniversaries, or a celebration.”

UGOBAGS can also be a great great fit for businesses to advertise their brand as it’s the perfect walking billboard.

All of UGOBAGS’ products are made locally in Los Angeles. Turnaround time is quick – usually 2-3 days for production and 1-5 days for shipping.

UGOBAGS offers free delivery and two years warranty on all products. The small size is $189, medium size $219, and large size $249.

Currently there is a 15 percent off discount with promo code WINTER15.
