High-end happy hours waiting to be discovered

There are happy hours and then there are extra special happy hours just waiting to be discovered. One fulfills the standard requirements of beer and salty treats, the other goes beyond to provide delicious drinks and innovative bar snacks.

Check out these cool Happy Hours on the Westside:

1) Scarpetta

Scarpetta of the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills is offering a delicious happy hour. It features season and locally sourced appetizers such as porchetta carpaccio and duck terrina, as well as $5 beer, $9 cocktails and wine. It runs Monday through Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

2) The Bazaar by Jose Andres

The Bazaar offers “Tapas on the Terrace” from 5 pm to 7 pm Sunday to Thursday on the terrace overlooking the valet area just off The Bazaar dining room. Enjoy $6 beer and $12 bottomless sangria.

3) The Misfit

Specialty drinks and free sea salt chocolate cookies? The Misfit Bar in Santa Monica is supplying Los Angeles’ demand for just that. They currently have specialty cocktails like Lucy’s “Spiked” Lemonade and The Misfit Cocktail. Doors open from 12 pm Monday through Friday, and 11 am Saturday through Sunday. Happy hour is every day from noon to 7 pm featuring discounts on well drinks, signature cocktails, sangria, mimosas, beer, and glasses of wine.

4) The Charleston

As one of the few speakeasy-themed Gastropubs in Santa Monica, The Charleston is known for its eclectic food and happy hour. $6 drinks can be paired with $8-$10 shared plates, $10 trios, $5 bar snacks, or $6 desserts. Food is served nightly until 10 pm, and the happy hour runs from 5 pm to 8 pm Thursday and 5 pm to 9 pm Friday and Saturday.

5) Petty Cash

Petty Cash Taqueria serves “Semi-Authentic” food and drinks that are not to be missed. Cocktails like Drunk In Love and the Petty Cash Marguerita are on the menu alongside food like Pig Ear Nachos and the bomb.com which is made with guacamole, sea urchin and chicharrones. Happy Hour, or Hora Feliz, runs from Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 6 pm.
