WWII veteran, Jerry Oppenheimer, was recently honored at the VA Rose Garden by his friends in the veteran community. Oppenheimer has made substantial contributions to veterans’ health research.
Artists for Trauma’s Laura Sharpe described a new program that matches up artists with recuperating veterans. Veterans who take up art can see their healing accelerate.
The event was co-sponsored by the Veterans Park Conservancy, which has raised money for the purpose of beautifying the VA campus.
