Luxe Living: Single-Story Stunner in Coveted Locale
Celebrity power couple Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann have upgraded their Los Angeles living situation, trading their former lavish abode for a smaller yet even more luxurious property in the prestigious Beverly Hills area.
Public records indicate that Apatow and Mann sold their previous Los Angeles home for $27 million to renowned attorney Brian Panish. Their new residence, located in the western part of Beverly Hills, set them back nearly $32 million. The sellers, apparel mogul Maurice Marciano, co-founder of the Guess clothing brand, took a hit with this transaction, selling the house for about $3.6 million less than what he originally paid just a year ago.
Originally constructed in the 1950s as a modest midcentury ranch-style home, the property underwent a significant renovation and expansion in recent years. Today, it stands as a luxurious single-story estate spanning 9,300 square feet, boasting five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Tucked behind locked gates and tall hedges, the mansion exudes opulence, described as an “embodiment of architecture as art.”
The estate sits on nearly an acre of land near the historic Greystone Manor and features a dark-bottom swimming pool, sprawling lawns, and meticulously landscaped gardens. Notable features of the property include a “floating” entryway over water features, hand-combed limestone flooring, imported white oak floors, and exotic marble slabs. The media room, enveloped in cashmere, is a standout feature, along with walls of steel and glass that seamlessly disappear to create an open floor plan.
Each of the five bedrooms boasts an ensuite bathroom and private garden, with the primary suite offering a sitting area and a boutique-style dressing room. The kitchen is designed for grand-scale entertaining, equipped with dual marble islands and high-end stainless appliances. Additional amenities include a library, gym, and formal dining room with silk ceilings and walls, complete with a temperature-controlled glass wine closet.
