A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoring Keri Russell, the Emmy-nominated star of the FX period spy drama “The Americans,” will be unveiled Tuesday.
Set to join Russell in speaking at the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the The Study nightclub on Hollywood Boulevard are J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, who created the 1998-2002 WB series “Felicity,” in which Russell starred, and Joel Fields, an executive producer of “The Americans.”
The ceremony comes the same day as the airing of the final episode of the fifth season of “The Americans,” in which Russell plays a KGB officer posing as a U.S. citizen in the 1980s.
The star is the 2,613th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the first 1,558 stars. The ceremony will be livestreamed on www.walkoffame.com.
Russell first appeared on television on the “All-New Mickey Mouse Club” on Disney Channel from 1991-94, with castmates including Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Russell’s other television credits include the Hallmark Hall of Fame production “The Magic of Ordinary Days” and the TNT miniseries, “Into the West,” which both premiered in 2005.
Russell’s film credits include “Waitress” and “Mission Impossible: III.”
