August 19 incident remains under investigation
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations West Bureau Homicide is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for killing a man in a shooting.
On August 19, 2022, around 5:30 p.m., Wilshire Division patrol officers responded to the area of Beverly Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard for a radio call of a shooting that had just occurred. Numerous shots were heard, and several vehicles were seen leaving the area.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies located a male adult shooting victim in a black Escalade SUV in the area of San Vicente Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Operations West Bureau Homicide assumed investigative responsibility. The investigation revealed that a white four-door sedan was seen fleeing eastbound in a nearby alley north of Beverly Boulevard. The suspects were described as three males wearing dark clothing.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
