Fire breaks out at Butler Avenue home Sunday

Firefighters made quick work putting out a heavy fire that broke out at a Sawtelle home over the weekend.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the fire was reported on May 23 around 8:45 a.m. at 1915 Butler Avenue.
LAFD crews arrived on the scene to find heavy fire showing and exposures on at least three sides from a one-story, single-family home.
According to the LAFD, 33 firefighters extinguished the fire in 18 minutes.
“The house was well involved in fire with extension into the attic. The first engine on scene quickly applied water from the wagon battery (large stream appliance atop the engine) and crews quickly followed up with hand lines and exposure defense, preventing the fire from damaging the adjacent structures,” reported LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is being determined.
