Levain Bakery Has Finally Opened Their First Long Awaited West Coast Location

Bakery Opened On June 24 With A Three-Hour Line That Wrapped Around The Corner

The promise of a Levain Bakery in Los Angeles has been a dream for all of the cookie lovers in the city for years. Levain, an East Coast chain, hadn’t come any further than Chicago until June 24 when the first West Coast Levain Bakery location was finally opened in Larchmont Village.

To say that people were very excited would be an understatement. When the bakery officially opened on June 24, the line to buy the first cookies wrapped around the block and went down the street on Beverly Boulevard. According to the press representative, customers waited two hours to purchase cookies and other baked goods.

The bakery is located at North Larchmont, and yes, those cookies are worth the wait. They are still warm and gooey on the inside and crisp yet chewy on the outside. The bakery’s Instagram said, “Our Larchmont Village bakery is OFFICIALLY OPEN, and we will be here every day from 8:00  a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for all your sweet cravings.

We couldn’t be more thankful for every single person that came out this morning (as early as 4:00 a.m.!?) and the entire Larchmont community for welcoming us into the neighborhood. This is truly a dream come true for a bakery that started as a little basement shop in NYC almost 28 years ago.”

Cookies that are available are the limited edition Rocky Road, the Chocolate Chip Walnut, Dark Chocolate Chip, the Two Chip, without nuts, and the Caramel Coconut Chip. There are also sour cream coffee cakes, lemon slices, and banana chocolate chip slices, among other selections. It’s a great bakery; you can order on their website if you aren’t into waiting in line.
