Brentwood location of Cabo Cantina up for lease
By Kerry Slater
A cantina known for their 36 ounce margaritas and 2-for-1 daily happy hour will not reopen their West LA location.
As reported by Toddrickallen, Cabo Cantina at 11829 Wilshire Boulevard in Brentwood appears to be closed for good as a “for lease” sign now hangs at the bar’s entrance. The Brentwood bar, which has locations across Southern California, has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.
Cabo Cantina first opened up on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood in the 1980s and has since expanded across the region with locations in Newport Beach, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood Boulevard and Pacific Beach in San Diego. All the locations (in normal times) are heavily-frequented with patrons coming back for the 36-oz margaritas, 2-for-1 happy hours alongside standard Mexican-fare.
While the Brentwood location will not be reopening, the Santa Monica one the Third Street Promenade and Venice one are back in business.
