The Los Angeles Clippers will conduct their fourth annual Jewish Heritage Night at tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center, and the team is dubbing the event, “Chanukah with the Clippers.”
The team will conduct a menorah lighting marking the second night of Hanukkah, a halftime performance and sell kosher food.
A question-and-answer session will be held with Rabbi Gavin Mordechai Teller of Aish Los Angeles, part of Aish HaTorah, a Jewish outreach organization that operates on six continents and whose goal is to revitalize the Jewish people by providing opportunities for Jews of all backgrounds to discover their heritage in an atmosphere of open inquiry and mutual respect. The group’s name means “Fire of Torah.”
Discounted tickets are available online at clippers.com/jewishheritagenight, using the promo code Clippers. The discounted tickets include a free blue-and-white T-shirt, Israel’s colors, with Clippers written in Hebrew in the front and “Chanukah with the Clippers” in English letters resembling Hebrew on the back.
The T-shirt will be available for purchase at the game.
