Thousands will unite for autism at the 9th annual Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, this effort generates vital funds for autism research, awareness and family services. Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder, with 1% of the population affected.
ABC weekday morning news anchor Phillip Palmer will once again serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., the opening ceremony is at 9:30 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 10 a.m.
The 9th annual Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks 2011 event will take place April 23, 2011 in Pasadena. The 2010 walk hosted 20,000 people and raised $1.3M at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
