Luxury bike valet a success at Westfield Century City

For shoppers who choose biking as their preferred mode of transportation, a hidden gem is sure to make the shopping experience all the more convenient as Westfield Century City takes the concept of bike valet to the next level.

Located in the parking structure on the corner of Century Park West and Constellation Blvd., the mall’s bike valet – along with its many luxury amenities – debuted earlier this summer to accommodate the needs and wants of Westfield visitors who pedal to do their shopping.

The bike valet coordinators seem to have thought of nearly every potential service that Westfield bikers could find as beneficial.

In addition to being able to easily and securely drop off their bikes with a friendly attendant, riders can take advantage of a handful of other provisions that the Westfield bike valet provides.

Behind the front desk of the valet service are two clean, sleek changing lounges – one for each gender – where biker riders can comfortably shower and transition from their cardio exercise cycling to the mall.

“We’re always looking to bring in new elements to create the ultimate shopping experience for our guests,” said Melanie Bender, senior marketing director at Westfield Century City. “Whether commuting to work, biking for fitness, or riding for pleasure, we’re thrilled to be part of our guests’ lifestyle choices by offering bike valet.”

Some of the features of the new bike valet include a set of roomy lockers within the changing lounge, so that riders have the option to store any clothes, shoes, helmets, and other items that may be needed for the bike ride but not necessarily for leisurely shopping.

For warmer days when biking to the mall inevitably leads to a sweaty, sticky experience, the bike valet even offers spacious showers for those who want to cool off and freshen up before entering the mall.

There are also plenty of water bottles and protein bars to suit the physical activity it takes to bike to and from the mall.

Located next to the lockers, bike riders can pack sustenance for the road or grab a bar or bottle before heading to the mall. In addition to the water bottles within the locker rooms, there are also chilled drink options in the refrigerator located near the front desk.

For those who have time to spare and simply need a place to lounge before hitting the road again, the caliber of the general valet area is unlike any other standard valet service, especially at a shopping mall.

Needless to say, shopping at Westfield Century City has become much more accessible and enjoyable for riders this summer with the addition of the new bike valet and all of its resources.

Bike valet is available Sundays through Thursdays from 11 am to 10 pm and Fridays through Saturdays from 10 am to 11 pm.
