Los Angeles Police Respond to Report of Unresponsive Individual in His 40s

A man in his forties was found deceased on Thursday, January 5th, at the Westfield Century City shopping center, with authorities attributing his death to natural causes. The man was apparently found in the food court, according to a witness on social media.

The witness said that the entrance to the food court was tented and “taped up.” and was unable to find additional information.
Detectives responded to a report of an unresponsive man around 5:20 p.m., as conveyed by the Los Angeles Police Department. The last time a death occurred at the Century City Mall was in 2020 when a man was shot at Javier’s restaurant in January of that year.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released by the police or the medical examiner’s office, but we will update this article when we have more information.
