A Rancho Park house fire left a man dead over the weekend.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) spokesperson Brian Humphrey, the incident was reported at 8:37 p.m. on Saturday, May 1 at 10544 Louisiana Avenue, just north of Rancho Park Golf Club.
The first arriving 26 LAFD Firefighters confined and extinguished the fire within the 1,418 square-foot, one-story home in just 22 minutes, according to Humphrey.
“During fire attack, they discovered one adult male within the home beyond medical help,” Humphrey said.
That victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was determined dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The fire’s cause is under active investigation.
