A 20-year-old man sitting in a car in a South Los Angeles restaurant parking lot suffered a gunshot wound to an arm tonight in what appears to be a gang-related shooting, police said.
It happened just after 9 p.m. outside a Louisiana Fried Chicken near the intersection of Manchester and Normandie avenues, police Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez said.
“The victim was sitting in his car when he was approached by a number of suspects who opened fire and hit him in the arm,” Bojorquez said. “He was transported to a hospital and was last reported in stable condition.”
Based on the style of attack and location, Bojorquez said it appeared to be gang-related, but the victim does not appear to have any gang affiliation.
Police have no suspect information at this point.
