Matthew Perry Sells Century City Penthouse in One of Priciest Sales in Recent Years

$21.6 million price tag for Century Tower penthouse

By Toi Creel

“Friends” star Mathew Perry recently sold his Century City penthouse for an eight-figure sum, one of the biggest condo sales in recent years.

Owned by Matthew Perry, the penthouse located in the Century Tower, sold for $21.6 million. The sale is one of the most costly in Southern California since 2015. The property originally was on the market for $35 million.

Several upgrades and renovations went into the cost of the residence.  A perch was added in 2017, adding outdoor space to the 9300 square feet to the penthouse, which has four bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

The penthouse also includes amenities such as four terraces, a large living room, a screening room for movies, billiards room, and a kitchen. It also includes a fireplace and seating area, along with dual bedrooms and bathrooms.

The 140-unit Century Tower building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern and completed in 2009. In addition to concierge and security services, the tower features a fitness studio, swimming pool and four acres of gardens and walking paths.

It’s one of Southern California’s most expensive condo sales in the last ten years. Another penthouse, located just one floor below Perry’s home, was sold in 2015 for $22.5 million. The most expensive sale to date happened in 2010 in the same building. The top two floors of the building, totaling 15,555-square-feet, sold for around $35 million.
