MDSUN Night of Elegance and Big Brothers Big Sisters

Social City News

It was truly a “Night of Elegance” when MDSUN Skin Care hosted a Renaissance-themed charity ball at the Four Seasons Hotel. We have never seen such an elegant crowd.

The evening’s festivities included a gourmet dinner, piano performances by Peter Kater, and the beautiful voices of several prominent guests, including Stephanie Spruill who worked with Tom Jones. Other VIPs in attendance included producer Harrison Engle, architect and interior designer, Sandra Costa, and Chinese superstar Lydia Chen.

Zehra Sun greeted the 200 plus guests, along with her husband, renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. George Sun. He launched the MDSUN premium anti-aging skin-care products in 2001. Today it’s renowned worldwide and is a favorite with celebrities and beauty experts.

We were pleased to go home with an exclusive bag of MDSUN products, including a diamond-shaped crystal engraved with my name. Kudos to producer Joey Chung and Zehra, who donated some of the proceeds from the event to Five Acres Orphanage, and Acacia’s autism project.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) honored Netflix VP Cindy Holland with the Sherry Lansing Award at its gala event at the Beverly Hilton and over 400 people attended.

Travis Winkle Big Brother, and star of TNT’s “The Last Ship”, together with Big Sister Kelly Sullivan of TLC’s “Close to Home,” performed a song and dance to “All That Jazz.”

BBBS provides children facing adversity one-to-one mentoring, and changes their lives for the better. All the girls in the organization’s Women in Entertainment Program were admitted to a four-year university.

Founded by Walt Disney and Meredith Wilson in 1955, BBBS is a leading non-profit in the LA community.

Among the celebrated guests was “Orange is the New Black’s” Kate Mulgrew who presented singer Adam Lambert with the Showbiz Does Have a Heart award. What could be better than to act as a mentor and role model to our city’s youth?
