Meet the stars at Best Friends Animal Society’s ACATEMY Awards

Come Meet Fascinating Felines on February 19 at the Palomar HotelWe’re rolling out the red carpet at the Hotel Palomar-Westwood to showcase 200 furry little stars — adoptable cats and kittens from L.A. Animal Services, L.A. County shelters and Best Friends Animal Society’s Los Angeles programs.

Each one of these lovable creates hopes to win the coveted Best Supporting Pet award, along with a place in your heart and home. Among the stars expected to shine in their elegant ensembles are Colin Purrth, George Clawney, Kat Winslet and Nicole Kitman. Also being closely watched this year are three feline favorites up for Best Motion Picture: “True Kitt,†“The Social Petwork,†and “The Kitties Are All Right.â€

All of the adoptable cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go home that day. AdopAmeliation fees for the day are reduced to $50, and we are offering a special “2 FUR 1†adoption promotion: If you fall in love with more than one kitty, and want to take home two, you can adopt your second cat or kitten for free!

The first 100 people who adopt from the event will receive free valet parking. And, after you’ve selected your fabulous feline forever friend (or two), stop by the “gifting lounge†to check out and pick up your swag bag full of gifts for you and your kitty, including valuable coupons for a free vet visit, kitty litter, cat food and more.

Be among the first 75 adopters, and you’ll also take home an ACATEMY Award statuette, a permanent reminder of your adopted cat’s star status. To ca p it off, a professional photographer will be there to take a free family portrait.
