Next Night, A Party to Celebrate Beverly Hills, to Take Place August 27

All facets of summer fun are coming together on August 27 in Beverly Hills for Next Night – a cool block party celebrating all things Beverly Hills and everything that it hopes to become – involving more millennials in the exciting life that the City boasts.

“Next Night is an amalgamation of all the essential nightlife and entertainment elements that millennials enjoy into a one-night block party intended to engage our next generation residents and neighboring communities,” Paul O’Brien, Chair of Next Night Marketing Committee told Westside Today.

The 200 block of South Beverly Drive will be “pedestrian only” for the evening that is geared toward the entire family; featuring live music, a DJ, food trucks, restaurant specials, a beer and wine garden, and pop-up shops. The specially-curated event promises to showcase a mix of local artists, with an emphasis on goods crafted in Beverly Hills.

“Next Night introduces the Next Beverly Hills initiative to the community,” said Beverly Hills Mayor John Mirisch. “We are a city of all ages, incomes and ethnic groups. We embrace creativity, diversity and technology as the means to better our lives. Our goal with the Next Night event is to have an enjoyable evening, of course, but also to engage the community in creating a better future for all of us.”

Organizers looked to integrate into the Next Night event a curated selection of local makers along with Beverly Hills-based businesses.

“You’ll be able to shop a variety of made-in-L.A. items, including 3D printed fine jewelry, fine art prints, fun and colorful glycerin soaps, hand poured candles, clothing inspired by California’s bohemian vibe, swimwear, and ceramics inspired by nature ” said Sheena Tahilramani, Co-Chair of Next Night Vendor Committee.

Phil N Good will provide the music, featuring remixes and original tracks accompanied by live instruments.

In keeping with a focus on innovation, “leave your cars at home and walk, bike or grab an Uber/Lyft and join your friends for a special evening,” organizers said. There’s a designated rideshare drop off point near Gregory Way, at the southern end of the 200 block of Beverly Drive. Parking is available at the City parking garages located at 216 S. Beverly Drive and 242 N. Beverly Drive.

Next Night will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday August 27 and stretches from Charleville Boulevard to Gregory Way along S. Beverly Drive. Admission is free. Well behaved and leashed dogs are welcome. For more information head to: beverlyhills.org/nextbeverlyhills.
