Office Revolution: Luxury Hotel Meets Modern Home

By Staff Writer

Say “goodbye” to the old doctor’s offices you used to remember. No more old, stained, uncomfortable chairs, sad lighting, or synthetic smells that make you feel sicker than when you first walked in. Those days are over! With the rise of medical spas, concierge medicine, and boutique private practice, the demand for beautiful medical offices has grown. Patients and doctors alike want to visit the office and feel the comfort of home, yet the elegance of a luxury hotel.

Who is the leader in this modern medical revolution? Meet Simour Design, interior design for medical spaces, dental spaces, and surgery centers. This Beverly Hills design firm takes a global approach to intentional design, filling the niche of innovative design for the modern doctor. Simour Design all began with Mitra Silva, an immigrant from Iran with a love for art and science. She began her studies as a pre-med, taking great interest in biology and healing. Upon greater self-reflection, she decided it was best to switch her major to design, her other passion, and moved to Los Angeles with the intent to become an interior designer. After years of study and work, her experience with a renowned interior design firm provided the opportunity to help design projects such as HBO Headquarters, Disney Studios, Redbull Studios, Equinox, and many more major company studios.

After a decade of interior design experience, Mitra felt that she still has a passion for the medical world. After much self-reflection, she concluded to combine her passions of medical and design together. Shortly after, she founded her own company, a medical interior design firm, with the intention of promoting healing environments. After years of serving medical offices and surgery centers all over Southern California, the vision to design healing spaces all around the world led to an expansion. In September of 2019, Simour Design was born. Shortly after, calls for the east coast came flooding in and the rest was history.

Simour Design focuses on intentional design that incorporates healing, beauty, comfort, functionality, and flow. All of these elements tie into the client’s brand story, which is how to design a medical office that cultivates trust. With world-class, end-to-end service, Simour Design takes care of all of the details from the very beginning until the grand opening. These spaces are physical reminders of life’s purpose. As a result, it helps create the most profitable, productive, and passionate businesses. Environment has an immense impact on wellbeing because intentional design has the power to heal. Simour Design focuses on creating truly healing spaces for the world’s best medical practitioners.

Due to being a boutique design firm, Simour Design selects each project with care. Projects include Femme Next Generation of Women’s Care, the flagship women’s health clinic in Thousand Oaks and UCLA Health in Century City, a primary care office in the Century City mall that calls for special retail regulations and laws. Simour Design works with top-rated surgeons and medical entrepreneurs all over the United States for projects such as medical spas, dentistry, surgical centers, and wellness centers.

To empower women around the world, a majority of the team consists of women designers and women architects. Women have the potential to harness the energy of healing and give it to the world. Combined with these powerful healing elements and keeping in touch with intuition, women are naturals when it comes to incorporating patient experience into intentional design.

The intentional design stems from the seed of an idea to the final outcome. The Simour team creates designs that promote healing from the inside-out. The vision to design healing spaces all around the world goes hand-in-hand with the mission: to bring innovative interiors and expertly planned medical spaces that inspire positive transformation for all.
