Upon greater self-reflection, she decided it was best to switch her major to design, her other passion, and moved to Los Angeles with the intent to become an interior designer. After a decade of interior design experience, Mitra felt that she still has a passion for the medical world. After much self-reflection, she concluded to combine her passions of medical and design together. Shortly after, she founded her own company, a medical interior design firm, with the intention of promoting healing environments. After years of serving medical offices and surgery centers all over Southern California, the vision to design healing spaces all around the world led to an expansion. In September of 2019, Simour Design was born. Shortly after, calls for the east coast came flooding in and the rest was history.
