For the second Friday in a row, personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Malibu/Lost Hills Station conducted a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint in Malibu.
Last night’s April 11 checkpoint was on the Pacific Coast Highway between the hours of 7 pm and 3 am.
The Department reports that 1,463 vehicles went through the checkpoint. Of those, 1,240 drivers were checked.
The Sheriff’s Department reported the following statistics from the checkpoint:
— 1 DUI – Alcohol Suspect Arrested
— 2 suspended / revoked drivers were arrested and sent to court
— 6 unlicensed drivers were arrested and sent to court
— 2 vehicles were stored for one day
— 2 vehicles were impounded for 30 days
— 5 vehicles were released per checkpoint release procedures
A checkpoint held on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Friday, April 4 netted 20 arrests, including three suspected DUIs.
