A new mixed-use apartment building is now under construction in the Pico Robertson district as reported by Urbanize Los Angeles.
The new construction is taking place at 1415-1429 S Robertson Boulevard and the new structure will replace a commercial building that was built in the 1930s.
The permit for the building states that it will consist of 64 units in a building that is seven stories tall, a commercial restaurant and an accessory dwelling unit that will sit over a two-story parking structure. The restaurant will sit over one level of subterranean parking.
According to Urbanize Los Angeles, the building is being designed by KFA Architects and their renderings state that the building will be “ a contemporary podium-type building wrapped with inset and cantilevered balconies, and capped with a rooftop deck.” and that the project is being built with approvals granted by Transit Oriented Communities incentive program that will allow the structure to exceed local zoning requirements as long as six units in the complex as reserved for renters at the extremely low-income level.
