Police Release Sketch of Man Wanted for Sexually Assaulting Sleeping UCLA Student

Man sought in connection to August 27 incident in Strathmore apartment

Police are circulating a sketch of a man wanted for sexually assaulting a female UCLA student while she slept in her Westwood apartment.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), on Friday, August 27 around 4 a.m. a woman was sexually assaulted while sleeping in her Westwood apartment on the 11000 block of Strathmore Drive.

Police say that the woman was awakened by a movement in the apartment and saw a man standing over her.

“He groped her clothes before she jumped up and pushed him out of the apartment,” the LAPD said. “The man fled before officers arrived.”

According to police, he was seen driving in a four-door gray Ford Fusion, pictured above.

The LAPD describes the suspect as a Hispanic male, around 25-30 years old, around 5′ 10″ with a medium-heavy build and short facial hair.
