A popular Downtown LA food truck has opened a brick-and-mortar location in Westwood.
The Hibachi food truck that normally operates out of Downtown LA, Hibachi Papi, has opened their own upscale restaurant in the former Pieology Pizza space in Westwood, as reported by ToddrickAllen.com.
According to their website, their head chef has over 14 years of experience as the head of a Teppanyaki restaurant that is part of the most renowned Teppanyaki franchise in the world and as a group the restaurant has “over thirty years of experience in the Hibachi/Teppanyaki industry”.
Even though the restaurant started as a food truck, they aren’t new to this style of cooking. You can find combination plates and bowls with steak, chicken, veggies, tofu and seafood, including lobster, that come with your choice of steamed or fried white rice, garlic noodles. Hibachi Papi also has a variety of sauces on the menu. You can even add an extra egg to your fried rice or order a la carte.
The restaurant is located at 920 Broxton and is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.daily.
