By Sam Catanzaro
The Metro Purple Line Extension is intended to reduce congestion in West Los Angeles but some pre-construction work activities scheduled the next two weeks in Century City will likely create traffic.
From Monday, August 6 to Friday, August 10 there will only be one lane going eastbound and westbound on Constellation Boulevard between Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
From Monday, August 13 to Friday, August 17 there will be limited eastbound access on Constellation Boulevard between Avenue of the Stars and Century Park East between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Traffic measures will be in place to control congestion.
During this pre-construction period, access to driveways on the north side of Constellation Boulevard, the Craft Valet and Century Towers on Constellation Bouvard will be maintained.
Pre-construction work includes potholing along Constellation Boulevard to identify underground utilities for the Purple Line Extension.
