A rapper known as Lil Twist was charged today with assault and other charges for allegedly attacking a man during a party at a Miracle Mile apartment.
The rapper, whose real name is Christopher Lynn Moore, 22, pleaded not guilty to single counts of criminal threats, first-degree burglary, assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft and misdemeanor battery, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
He is due back in court July 17, prosecutors said.
Moore allegedly punched a man in the face when he was asked to leave a party on Nov. 7, 2014, in the 300 block of Hauser Boulevard. Prosecutors said Moore slugged the man at least twice.
According to prosecutors, Moore made threats when he left the party, then returned about 30 minutes later with four other people, leading to a fight. Some of the victim’s belongings were stolen during the melee, prosecutors said.
The victim had to be treated at a hospital.
Moore faces up to nine years and 10 months in prison if convicted, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
In July 2013, Moore was arrested for allegedly driving drunk while he was behind the wheel of a Fisker Karma owned by his friend, Justin Bieber, in Calabasas.
