Memorial Day, Monday May 28, was marked with a service at Los Angeles National Cemetery in Westwood. Scouts placed more than 90,000 flags in front of headstones. The service was conducted by Veterans Affairs and was attended by residents, veterans, local dignitaries and politicians.
