Mid-Wilshire Streets Turn Chaotic as Erratic Driving, Heated Confrontation
Authorities are investigating a road rage incident involving a group of young bicyclists and the driver of a Mercedes-Benz over the weekend in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.
Videos circulating on social media, one from Instagram user @whitewallstuntz_ captured the confrontation, which began Saturday on Olympic Boulevard. In the footage, the Mercedes driver is seen intentionally swerving erratically through a group of several dozen cyclists, narrowly missing some as they scrambled to avoid the vehicle.
The situation escalated when the cyclists caught up with the Mercedes in a nearby parking garage. A second video shows several young men jumping on the car, smashing its windows, and chasing away a man believed to be the driver.
Police are working to identify both the bicyclists and the driver involved in the altercation. No injuries have been reported, but authorities are reviewing the videos as part of their investigation.
