Two men held up the Howard Johnson Inn and Suites in Orange at knifepoint early this morning, getting away with cash and a surveillance video, police said.
The robbery happened at the hotel at 1930 E. Katella Ave. around 3:30 a.m., said Lt. Fred Lopez of the Orange Police Department.
Two men with one knife between them followed the night clerk into the office and took $500 from the safe at knifepoint, Lopez said. They took DVR surveillance footage.
They got into a “baby blue” four-door Toyota Camry or Honda Accord and fled southbound on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, he said. There were no injuries.
