Foot Chase Ends in Arrests After ALPR Flags Robbery Vehicle in Beverly Hills
An alert from the Beverly Hills Police Department’s Automated License Plate Reader system on Tuesday afternoon led officers to a vehicle connected to a robbery reported in Huntington Park, culminating in a pursuit and the arrest of four suspects.
The incident began around 1 p.m. on June 24, when the Beverly Hills Police Department received an ALPR notification identifying a vehicle linked to a recent robbery. Officers quickly located the vehicle within city limits and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to yield, initiating a brief pursuit.
The chase ended near the intersection of Beverly Drive and Rexford Drive when the vehicle became disabled. According to authorities, four individuals fled the scene on foot. Officers apprehended three of the suspects nearby, while the fourth was found shortly afterward during a coordinated containment and search operation in a nearby residential yard.
No injuries were reported in connection with the pursuit or arrests. All four suspects were taken into custody without further incident, police said.
The case remains under investigation.
