By Dolores Quintana
Skanska USA, the American subsidiary of the Swedish construction and real estate powerhouse Skanska, has recently wrapped up construction on its inaugural office development in Los Angeles County.
Situated at 9000 Wilshire Boulevard, this newly completed four-story building occupies a strategic corner location, conveniently situated between two upcoming subway stations at Rodeo Drive and La Cienega Boulevard. The building has 50,000 square feet of office space and ground-level commercial amenities, with an underground parking garage.
Designed by Neil M. Denari Architects and HLW, the three-story structure incorporates various elements commonly found in contemporary office developments across the region, including spacious open floor plans, windows that can be opened for ventilation, and a rooftop deck that workers can use as an outdoor working space.
Delays that came with the pandemic continue since the groundbreaking for this structure took place in October 2020 and was supposed to be finished in the third quarter of of last year. The original estimate of the building’s cost was $65 million.
