UCLA police investigating August 10 incident

UCLA police are searching for a suspect wanted for a broad daylight strong arm robbery.
According to the UCLA Police Department (UCLA PD), on August 10 around 2:30 p.m., the suspect “aggressively” approached the victim who was sitting near the parking structure on Tiverton Drive.
“The suspect grabbed at the victim’s handbag in attempt to take it off her shoulder and took her water bottle from the bag. The suspect attempted to throw the bottle at the victim,” UCLA PD said in a press release.
Police describe the suspect as Asian male, 20-25 years old, 5’9” – 5’10”, with a thin athletic build, dark complexion, wearing a surgical mask, dark blue hoodie, dark pants and dark colored tennis shoes at the time of the crime.
