Surveillance Footage Shows the Unidentified Suspect Igniting Fires
The Beverly Hills police detained a suspected arsonist on Thursday after allegedly setting multiple fires with a torch, authorities said.
According to Los Angeles Police Department’s Lt. Orozco, the suspect was apprehended near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Whittier Drive. The individual was not identified and was seen on surveillance footage using a torch to start the fires.
No further information regarding the suspect, their motives, or the method of setting the fires was released by the police.
“All the fires are believed to have been set along Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles,” the Beverly Hills Police Department said in a statement.
