A driver of a 2013 Cadillac ATS lost control of his car on the Venice Boulevard offramp to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway just before 4:30 am Monday.
According to reports, Nicholas Mariani was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center with major injuries after crashing into a retaining wall. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The LA Daily News reports Mariani was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, which may have been a contributing factor to the crash.
The Cadillac sustained major front end damage. No other vehicles were involved.
