A suspicious device found tonight in an RV parked in Hollywood turned out to be a Crock-Pot, authorities said.
A man called police at about 7:30 p.m. to report he’d had a dispute with another man and the man had left a bomb with wires sticking out in his RV on Vine Street and Waring Avenue, according to Sgt. Rigo Vasquez of the Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Station.
Officers blocked streets in the area and evacuated people from the immediate area before members of the bomb squad suited up and went inside the RV, Vasquez said.
“We just do it by the numbers, better safe than sorry,” he said.
“It was his Crock-Pot,” Vasquez said. “He believes that he saw something,” and no further action was taken after the situation was determined to be safe at about 9:30 p.m.
