Police investigating anti-Semitic act.

On Monday, March 4, Los Angeles police discovered four swastikas drawn in blood near a holocaust museum in mid-city.
At 6:45 a.m. the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), responded to a report at Pan Pacific Park Recreation Center on the 100 Block of Gardener Street that somebody had found blood in the recreation center’s bathroom.
Police responded to the scene and found a “large amount of blood” and two swastikas written in blood within the bathroom.
In addition, police found two swastikas, each about one foot-long and wide, written in blood on a park bench near the bathroom by the recreation center’s playground.
The location of the incident is less than 1,000 feet away from the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
“Acts of hate and anti-Semitism are deeply painful and have no place in the City of Los Angeles. With hate incidents on the rise locally and nationally, we must stand up for our diverse communities and their safety. I am in contact with LAPD while this remains under investigation,” said Los Angeles City Councilmember David E. Ryu whose Fourth District includes the location of the incident.
Los Angeles police utilized bloodhounds to trace the scent of the blood for several blocks around the scene of the incident, before losing track of the smell.
