By Dolores Quintana

From June 10 to August 27, 2023, the Hammer Contemporary Collection will unveil its latest exhibition, Ecstatic, offering a captivating exploration of sculpture and works on paper. This museum-wide presentation aims to highlight the significance of each medium in the museum’s extensive collection. Ecstatic features two distinct installations, shedding light on the role of drawing and sculpture within the realm of the museum’s acquisitions.

A diverse roster of acclaimed artists contributes to the exhibition, including Kelly Akashi, Eddie Aparicio, Kevin Beasley, Cecily Brown, Fiona Connor, Liz Craft, Luis Flores, Simone Leigh, Paul McCarthy, Shahryar Nashat, Senga Nengudi, Jim Shaw, and many more.
