In addition to the film, children’s choirs from area schools cheered the children and Santa (along with VFC volunteers) started off the season right with bags full of donated toys and healthy treats.
Area businesses donated the space, use of the film and all of the toys and treats allowing for the $75,000 raised in support of the event to go toward the health care of the seven thousand low-income and uninsured children from Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista and Culver City, and environs. The Venice Family Clinic provides a wide range of services for these tykes including immunizations, asthma and weight management, mental health, vision care and dental care.
The Venice Family Clinic (VFC) serves some 24,000+ un and under insured Angelinos annually at its seven sites throughout our city. Some 500+ doctors and 1500+ others donate their time to complete the 106,000+ primary care, specialty care, mental health, dental, and health education visits annually for Angelenos.
