Traffic Advisory for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Visit

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be visiting Los Angeles during portions of the next three days. A significant portion of the West Los Angeles region will be impacted by Netanyahu’s visit, beginning this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. If you live or work in Malibu, Santa Monica, Westwood, West Los Angeles, Culver City, Palms, Mar Vista, Rancho Park, Century City, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Hollywood, or in neighboring communities, please plan your commute according to the schedule listed below.

The Los Angeles Police Dept. (LAPD) issued the following statement and traffic advisory regarding Netanyahu’s visit today through Thursday.

In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the Prime Minister of Israel from March 4th – 6th, the following areas of the City should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members:

Tuesday March 4th 2014

  • Santa Monica Boulevard between 405 Freeway and Melrose Avenue, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • 405 Freeway between Wilshire Boulevard and 105 Freeway, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Melrose Avenue between La Cienega and Van Ness, 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Wednesday March 5th, 2014

  • Santa Monica Boulevard between 405 Freeway and Melrose Avenue, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • 405 Freeway between Wilshire Boulevard and 105 Freeway, 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • 10 Freeway between 405 Freeway and Highway 1/Pacific Coast Highway, 6:30 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.
  • Highway 1/Pacific Coast Highway between 10 Freeway and Malibu Canyon Road, 6:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Thursday March 6th, 2014

  • Santa Monica Boulevard between 405 Freeway and Melrose Avenue, 8:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
  • Pico Boulevard between Roxbury and Castello, 8:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • 405 Freeway between Wilshire Boulevard and 105 Freeway, 12:15 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.
