LAPD Investigating the Two Grisly Discoveries in Hollywood and South L.A.
Police are investigating two separate discoveries of human remains found inside vehicles at tow yards in Los Angeles, including one registered to rising music artist D4vd, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
The first body was found on Monday afternoon when employees at Hollywood Tow, located on the 1000 block of North Mansfield Avenue, reported a strong odor coming from an impounded Tesla parked on the roof of the facility.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded around 12:30 p.m. and discovered a female body concealed in a bag inside the car’s front trunk, as reported by ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
The Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter professionally known as D4vd, who is currently on tour in the United States. No details have been released about the identity of the deceased. The connection was first reported by TMZ.
The singer, D4vd, responded to the discovery through his press representative, who said that the singer has been notified of what has happened, and although he is out on tour, he is cooperating fully with the authorities, as quoted by E! News.
The vehicle had reportedly been at the tow yard for several days before the discovery.

Second Body Found in Separate Tow Yard
On Tuesday, police confirmed that a second set of human remains was discovered in an unrelated investigation at S&J Wilshire Tow in Chesterfield, a neighborhood in South Los Angeles, as reported by KTLA 5 News.
Detectives responded to the tow yard, located at 1901 W. Gage Avenue, around noon and requested assistance from two arson investigators and a police photographer, according to the LAPD.
The remains, which were partially burned, were located inside a Honda Civic that had been impounded since August 25, according to a law enforcement source cited by the Los Angeles Times.
Investigators said the Honda is linked to a separate missing persons investigation and is not connected to the Hollywood case involving the Tesla.
Authorities are working to identify both victims and determine how the bodies ended up in the impounded vehicles. No arrests have been made, and detectives have not released information about possible suspects or motives.
