A stabbing in Pasadena today left a man and a woman dead and another man — apparently a family member — in custody, police said.
Paramedics were sent to 290 North Madison Ave. about 6:30 a.m., said Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department. A man and woman were taken to a hospital in critical condition, she said.
The man and woman died, Pasadena police Lt. Tracy Ibarra said.
A suspect, identified by one of the victims before he or she died as a family member, was taken into custody about a block from the crime scene. That man was taken to a hospital in police custody for treatment of an unspecified injury, Ibarra said.
The man who died called 911 to report the crime, Ibarra said. The names of the victims, a couple, and the suspect were being withheld, pending notification of their next of kin.
