Ubuntu’s “TwentyTues” Wine Specials on Its Serene Patio Bring Plant-Based Delights

Vegan Women’s Summit Restaurant Week Comes to Ubuntu With Special Menu

Ubuntu, the plant-based restaurant boasting West African-inspired flavors and led by 2022 James Beard Award semifinalist Shenarri Freeman, has launched “TwentyTues,” a weekly event featuring curated $22 bottles of wine for patrons enjoying the patio. The restaurant was also named one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in America by Esquire Magazine in 2023.

Nestled amidst blossoms, palms, and verdant foliage, Ubuntu’s tranquil Melrose Avenue patio provides a serene backdrop to Chef Shenarri “Greens” Freeman’s innovative vegan fare, which draws inspiration from Africa. Signature dishes like Palm Bisque and Curry Jollof Arancini adorn the menu, promising a culinary journey through vibrant flavors.

The “TwentyTues” offering, available every Tuesday from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m., combines Chef Shenarri’s delectable creations with affordably priced wines, promising a delightful twilight garden party experience. Located at 7469 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, Ubuntu operates from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, with special weekly events like “TwentyTues” and “Soul Food Sundays.”
