UCLA Celebrates the art of Jane Gottlieb with ‘Dreamscapes’ at the Anderson School

Jane GottliebUCLA Anderson School of Management is exhibiting ‘Dreamscapes,’ the celebrated art of UCLA alumna artist Jane Gottlieb. The collection includes twenty-five magnificent hand-painted and digitally enhanced large-scale photographs of dream cars and vistas from around the world. Her exhibition, encompassing an extraordinary body of work, will feature an opening reception on May 15, 2013, at UCLA Anderson.

Gottlieb (UCLA ‘68), has achieved tremendous acclaim for her vibrant photographic work, which has been exhibited at fine art galleries and major museums, including the Nancy Hoffman Gallery (New York); Louis Stern Fine Arts (Los Angeles); L’Image Gallery (Rome); Saporiti Italia (Milan); the Butler Institute of American Art; the Laguna Art Museum; the Santa Barbara Museum of Art; and the Petersen Automotive Museum.

Alfre d E. Osborne, Senior Associate Dean of The Anderson School of Management notes, “Jane Gottlieb’s vivid, artistic expression has brought to our school a wonderful sense of color, history and imagination. Each day her works brighten the lives of students, faculty and community. This exhibition truly adds to the cultural life of the UCLA Anderson Campus.†According to Gottlieb, “I am so proud to be able to showcase my art works at UCLA Anderson. When I was a child, I attended UCLA’s outstanding elementary Lab School. This is where I made up my mind to become an artist. I hope that these works will inspire all to see the world differently, to realize that color can make a difference in people’s lives. I have dedicated my life to exploring and celebrating color in its many fanciful aspects, and it is such an honor to be able to share what I’ve discovered with so many people each day on such a beautiful campus.â€

Gottlieb will make available for sale, at the reception, limited edition, archival inkjet glossy prints of the works on view. A percentage of all sales will be donated to a special fund to promote arts and arts education on the UCLA campus. www.janegottlieb.com
